Max the Mutt College of Animation, Art and Design
Max the Mutt College of Animation, Art & Design was founded in 1996 by a group of talented artists and animators. It is the top private animation college in North America. According to the rankings released by the School of the Year Official World, the School’s “digital art and production” program is ranked 3rd in the world and 1st among North America.
The campus is located in the center of Toronto and has a high reputation in the industry. Our graduates end up pursuing their careers in top North American animation companies and other institutions. In addition, the School has a close partnership with Hollywood as well.
The School aims to establish and maintain an inclusive community dedicated to imparting animation skills and expertise to future generations while fostering a sense of community. The School commits to providing grants and scholarships to qualified students (including funds from the Bradley Mark Johnston Scholars Foundation), which aims to support talented students. All the teachers are professionals in the animation industry, and lectures are delivered in small classes. Graduates are pursuing their careers in many well-known and high reputation animation companies, such as Pixar, Sony Imageworks, Guru Studio, Yowza Animation, Brown Bag / 9 Story Media, Ubisoft, ShadowMachine, Warner Brothers Games, Corus/Nelvana, and the National Film Board.
